Offered here is a 15.5" x 20.5" one page appointment that has been signed by both Theodore Roosevelt as President and William Taft as Secretary of War. Roosevelt appoints Howard Houghton Baily as "Assistant Surgeon with the rank of First Lieutenant in the service of the United States". It has the blue seal affixed to the lower left and remaining fully intact. In overall fine condition with Taft's signature a bit light but fully legible. Authenticated by Beckett/BAS with a full letter of authenticity.
