Offered here is the group's 1975 triple platinum fourth studio album "A Night at the Opera". Featured on the cover of this program is the stunning felt tip marker signatures of all four members of the iconic British rock band, including Freddie Mercury, Roger May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor.
A project that spanned FIVE decades to complete, the autographs of Mercury, Deacon and Taylor were obtained in-person in February of 1976 at an in-store appearance by the band at a New York City record store. Prior to the signing, May came down with an illness and was unable to attend. Over 40 years after being originally signed, May's signature was obtained c. 2017 to complete the piece while Queen was on tour in the United States.
Signatures remain simply stunning in nature. Album cover exhibits some minor surface wear and soiling but stands in overall fine condition. Given the lack of Queen material found in the market & the vast majority of quality issues with their items, this remains one of the most jaw-dropping items we have handled from the group. Attractively double-matted with an original newspaper clipping for the signing event from 1976 and housed in an attractive wood finish frame, measuring 19
x 26" overall.
