Ty Cobb's playing style cannot be summed up in one word, but if we had to choose one, it would be nothing other than ferocious. The Georgia Peach would grace the diamond for over 20 years, amassing over 4000 hits & an incredible .366 lifetime batting average. Cobb would be the first player in Major League Baseball history to reach the 4000 hit milestone while always playing with an attitude. Offered here is a black & white 8.5" x 11" image of Cobb early in his career, circa 1907-1911, on thin cardstock, signed in black ballpoint "Ty Cobb, 12/15/49". The photo has one horizontal crease and the edges also show some tearing and creasing, some of which have been secured with tape on the backside. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
