Offered here is a Los Angeles County Superior Court document dated July 15, 1942, signed by Clark Gable as Executor of the Carole Lombard Estate. Lombard was Gable's wife and one of the most popular female movie stars in Hollywood. She died tragically in early 1942 in a plane crash on her way home from a World War II bond-selling tour. In this document, Gable, the so-called "King of Hollywood", authorizes payment to Metropolitan Oil Services for several invoices between end of 1941 and early 1942. The vintage black ink autograph from Gable stands in mint condition. The document itself remains in fine condition with expected handling wear, including some paper loss in the top right corner, and scattered notations throughout. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
