Offered here for your bidding consideration is a unique piece of personally worn Dr. J basketball memorabilia--a practice jersey worn by the basketball icon during his playing days with the Philadelphia 76ers. On the inner rear collar is the “JESCO” distributor’s tag with size “L”, “100% NYLON” and wash instructions. Across the front reads “SIXERS”. Across the back is the player number “6”. All lettering and numbering is done in the same white screenprint. The white side of the jersey reads the same with all lettering and numbering screenprinted in red. Erving has signed the red side of the jersey in black marker with the added inscription “#6”, in our opinion the signature rates an 8. The practice jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn and in our opinion shows wear. Accompanied by extensive provenance, including Letters of Authenticity from Game Used Authorities MEARS and Grey Flannel, as well as a Letter of Provenance from the fan who acquired the jersey direct from Dr. J as a gift after a game.
