On June 18, 1936, heavyweight contenders Joe Louis and Max Schmeling fought at Yankee Stadium looking to position themselves for a shot at the title. Louis came into the fight undefeated, but the wily veteran Schmeling prevailed, stopping Louis in the 12th round with an overhand right. Presented here is a full, unused Ringside ticket to the fight. The ticket pictures both fighters along with terrific vintage text and graphics. In excellent condition with no creases, stub firmly attached, clean front and back and virtually no signs of fading. A true vintage gem! Also accompanying the ticket is a 4" x 6" vintage postcard photograph signed by Schmeling; a vintage pencil signature from Louis (PSA/DNA certified); and a pair of 8" x 10" black and white reproduction photographs featuring Louis and Schmeling, ideal for display along with the ticket.
