Lou Gehrig Superb Signed 8" x 10" Photograph in Custom Framed Display with MINT 9 Autograph (PSA/DNA LOA)

An exquisite Lou Gehrig signed photograph featuring him in a desirable swinging pose for the Bronx Bombers. Despite all appearances of the virility and durability that powered the Iron Horse through an unprecedented and unbroken streak of 2,130 games, Gehrig inspires a melancholy sense of the impending tragedy when encountering late-career material like this. The gorgeously rendered black fountain pen autograph above suggests 1938 or early 1939 vintage, very shortly before his fatal diagnosis was issued.

The photo measures 8" x 10" in dimension and presents quite well, with light rippling and some image impressions along right edge (pictured) that is only apparent in raking light.
