Offered here for your bidding pleasure is a pair of Los Angeles Lakers 1996-97 basketball shorts, personally game worn by basketball megastar Kobe Bryant during his rookie season in Los Angeles. One of the very few surviving pieces of rookie gear for Kobe (most ended up being sliced up and put on trading cards), these shorts feature the special NBA 50th anniversary gold league logo along the right thigh area. The inner waist band features two tags, including a Lakers team tag that reads, "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Los Angeles Lakers" and a Champion size tagging ("38"), which also features Kobe's number "8" penned in the upper right corner in a slightly faded black felt tip marker. The shorts exhibit nice usage including fraying to the inner tagging and stand in overall fine game used condition. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from L.A. Lakers game used equipment authority DC Sports.
