In a 21-year career (1890-1911), Cy Young established major league records that still remain unbroken: most wins (511), innings pitched (7,355), games started (815) and most complete games (749). He won 30 or more consecutive games five times and passed the 20-win mark 10 times. No wonder MLB named the annual award for best pitcher after him - his the game's greatest. Young, who was named to the Hall of Fame in 1937 and passed away in 1955, has inked this vintage Spalding baseball on one of the side panel adding a "1890-1911" inscription penning his dominate years in the Majors. It's worth noting this is the first such single signed baseball by Young we have seen with such career notations or "stats". Overall in fine condition with even toning and minor scuffing. Authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA) with a full letter of authenticity.
Cy Young Single Signed Baseball w/ ULTRA RARE "1890-1911" MLB Career Inscription! (JSA)
