Coretta Scott King was the wife of Martin Luther King, Jr. who continued to dedicate her life to the civil rights movement even after her husband's assassination. Offered here is a typewritten letter on Mrs. King's personal letterhead ("Mrs. Martin Luther King Jr."), thanking a Miss Jill Mitchell for the flowers and encouraging her to continue to grow in her care of "human dignity, peace, justice and brotherhood". Dated November 29, 1968 (8 months after King's tragic assassination) and hand signed in blue felt tip pen "Coretta Scott King". In fine condition with two horizontal folds. Original mailing envelope is included.
