Bill Clinton 1999 Original Yellow Impeachment Ticket (Encapsulated & Graded PSA NM-MT 8)

Crisp yellow ticket, 5.25” x 3.5,” for the U.S. Senate Impeachment Trial of 42nd U.S. President Bill Clinton. The front notes that this is the “106th Congress—First Session” and admits the bearer to the Senate Gallery on Feb 12, 1999, with the pre-printed signature of U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms James W. Ziglar at bottom right. “Rule VI, Galleries,” a list of regulations outlining visitor conduct, is reproduced in full on verso. Authenticated and encapsulated, to an overall size of 7.25” x 4.25” by PSA, who grades the ticket NM-MT 8.

Impeachment proceedings against sitting president Bill Clinton were held from January 7 - February 12, 1999, during the first session of the 106th Congress. Clinton, who was involved in sex scandal involving a White House intern, was accused with obstruction of justice and perjury. U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist (1924-2005) presided over the Senate portion of the process. Of the three U.S. Presidents ever impeached—Andrew Johnson, Donald Trump, and Bill Clinton—all were acquitted of charges.
