This incredible letter dated August 28th, 1965 was handwritten by the undisputed Queen of Rock and Roll, Janis Joplin, and shows insight to how even queens were at one time a young, insecure little girl. Fans of this iconic legend hearts will break when they read Joplin's letter to her then fiance, Peter de Blanc, as she tells him how lonesome she is while waiting for him to return to her in Texas to marry her. History tells us that it wasn't meant to be as de Blanc soon broke off his engagement to the young Janis Joplin just before she shot to fame and fortune, and later crashed and died of an accidental heroin overdose in 1970 at the age of 27. This piece comes complete with a handwritten, addressed, and signed envelope stamp-dated August 29th, 1965 and includes an LOA from the world's number one authenticator PSA/DNA.
