Despite being depicted as a shrewd businessman, Gates now is one of the largest philanthropists in the world, along with fellow billionaire Warren Buffet. During the time that this offering was created, Bill was most likely fascinated with IBM's new technology, allowing for information to be mobile for the first time ever on the floppy disc. Dating to the 1970s this original 8" floppy disc looks outlandish in today's world of tiny tech, but at one time this was cutting edge technology. It has been signed & inscribed by Microsoft founder Bill Gates, with the inscription, "Good Luck Bill, Bill Gates." Possibly originating from a failed business venture in which Bill took a look at the information on this floppy, this goes as a truly one-of-a-kind technology-based offering!
