Roberto Clemente remains one the legends of the diamond, helping to kick start baseball in Puerto Rico and bring the Pirates back to World Series contention in the 1970’s. Due to Clemente’s distinctive erratic signature, high-grade examples are very difficult to come by. Offered here is possibly the nicest single signed color photographs to hit the market! Clemente has added his coveted signature to an already collectible piece, which is a 1971 Arco Gas Roberto Clemente photo card. Measuirng 7.5" x 9.5", these photo cards were distributed as promotions at gas stations in the greater Pittsburgh area in 1971. Signed in ballpoint just below a facsimile version of his autograph, "Roberto Clemente". The card is in overall NM-MT condition on the front side, with some minor paper loss from what appears to be tape removal on the reverse (see pics). Minor handling wear to the frame. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
