The 1969 Yankees weren’t one of the better teams in the franchise's history, finishing up at 80-81, but all the same, the team would be remembered for two things - Mickey Mantle Day and the rookie campaign of only 26 games by Thurman Munson. At the age of 22, this is one of the earliest known Munson signatures to ever hit the market and one of only a small handful of 1969 team signed balls to surface with a Munson signature. This Reach Official American League (Cronin) baseball has been signed by 28 members of the team in black ballpoint, including: Thurman Munson, Elston Howard, Bobby Cox, Mel Stottlemyre, Ralph Houk, Bill Robinson, Len Boehmer, Stan Bahnsen, Mike Kekich, Horace Clarke, Jim Turner, Lindy McDaniel, Al Downing, Jack Aker, Bobby Cox, Ron Woods, Steve Hamilton, Frank Fernandez, Jerry Kenney, Tom Shopay, Roy White, Dick Hower, Gene Michael, Bill Burbach, Jim Hegan, Fritz Peterson, Jake Gibbs, and Bobby Murcer. Please note that the Joe Pepitone signature has been deemed a common clubhouse. In overall fine condition with some skipping to the signatures. The ball remains an attractive creamy white, making the vintage signatures stand out nicely. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
