Babe Ruth's baseball career ended perfectly. A Braves victory with Ruth going 4-for-4 including three home runs! One was a mammoth 600-foot shot that "left the building" over the right field wall. That day when Ruth left the building he did not return. An era was over and the ink in the history books could now start to dry. Of the precious few '35 cards featuring Ruth the most important card is from the 1935 Goudey "4-in-1" series. He shared his final card with Boston Braves teammates Brandt, McManus and HoFer Rabbit Maranville. Sharing a card may seem like an unceremonious final card for the legendary Yankee and friend to children everywhere but the number of submissions is double the next most reviewed '35 Goudey. The offered example is graded a solid VG-EX 4.
