Document signed as president, one page, 10.25 x 13.75, partly-printed on vellum, and dated May 14,1831. President Jackson grants the safe passage of a New York vessel. Nicely signed at the conclusion by President Jackson, and countersigned by then Secretary of State and future President Martin Van Buren. The white seal remains affixed to lower left. In very good to fine condition, with overall rippling from age and a trimmed upper portion. Nice example signed by two American Presidents—one current, and one future.
