A piece of Abraham Lincoln Wood From “Emancipation Proclamation” Signing Room, .75” x .5,” encapsulated in a CAG holder measuring 2.25” x 3.25.” Accompanied by a printout of provenance paperwork featuring an image of the complete piece of wood, and a calligraphic statement, reading, in part: “June 1912, Presented to Mr. Bates as a souvenir by his friend Lt. Col. Wm. M. Palmer staff of the late Major Gen. W. Sewell.” An historic piece and one the first of its kind to come to market nicely presented in a CAG holder.
