Cartoonist (1900–1985) best known as the creator of the private eye Dick Tracy. Offered here is an 11" x 13 3/4" original “Dick Tracy” artwork drawn by the creator of “Dick Tracy,” Chester Gould. Gould created the famous detective and drew the famous comic strip from 1931 to 1977. This illustration depicting Tracy at the dentist was made for Dr. Levitt and is signed and inscribed “To Doctor Levitt With Best Wishes From Dick Tracy + Chester Gould” was signed and inscribed using a steel-tip fountain pen with black ink. The signature and inscription are bold, and the artwork contains stains on the edges, corners, and elements of light cornering and edging. The personalized artwork signed by the creator of one of the most famous detectives in fiction. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
