Tony Conigliaro was the youngest home run in king in the American League when he won the title in 1965 with 32 in one season. In his rookie season of 1964, Conigliaro collected 117 hits, 24 home runs and 52 RBI while batting .290 - a pretty excellent season for the Red Sox player! He continued to improve, leading the American League in home runs in his sophomore campaign and remaining consistent until 1967 when he suffered a serious facial injury with a pitch to the cheekbone, calling for an extended recovery time. Offered here is Conigliaro's 1964 Topps Rookie Stars #287 issue, signed by the heavy hitter in blue ballpoint pen. The card itself exhibits some handling wear, including a vertical crease. Autograph is in good condition and grades out to a NM-MT 8! Authenticated, graded & encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
