Offered here is Jim Croce's 1972 release "You Don't Mess Around With Jim", signed by the folk singer in black ballpoint on the right hand side of the cover. The album spent 93 weeks on the charts, longer than any other Croce album, and the posthumous single release from the album, "Time In A Bottle", is one of his most well-known songs. Due to his early death in a plane crash at the age of only 30, authentic Jim Croce autographs are extremely rare. The album exhibits moderate handling wear and surface rubbing, and has several other autographs from unknown sources on the left hand side of the cover. An unknown hand has marked "6/24/73, West Hollywood, CA, The Troubadour, 8:56pm". It is safe to assume that this is where Croce's autograph was obtained, just a few months before his tragic death.
