Offered here is a handwritten one-page letter from Millard Fillmore during his time in the House of Representatives for New York. Dated March 23, 1839 from Buffalo, Fillmore writes an acquaintance regarding a subpeona in favor of a Mr. Evans, whom Fillmore appears to be in support of. The letter shows a fair amount of damage, with paper loss vertically down part of the page and around the edges, scattered creasing, and significant toning and spotting, as well as attempted tape repairs to the reverse. However, any handwritten memorabilia from a former President is desirable, no matter the condition. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
