This is a wonderful bit of correspondence from Hall of Famer Walter Johnson on The New Hotel Biloxi letterhead. Biloxi, MS was where the Nationals held their training camps. The content of the letter is intriguing, with Johnson giving advice to a father interested in sending his son to the camp. Reads, in part, "We have more boys in camp than we can look out for and I would advise your boy to get in shape and then get on a uniform some place and let some one look him over. I will be glad to do anything I can and hope I can get a chance to see him." Signed by Johnson in his attractive signature. A rare and desirable extensive handwritten specimen with incredible baseball-related content from one of the most desirable signers in early baseball! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
