Bibb Falk was a spare outfielder for the Chicago White Sox until news of the 1919 Black Sox scandal broke and eight players were suspended. Falk replaced Shoeless Joe Jackson in left field at this time. He ended his career with a .314 batting average. Offered here is a rare Wilson Official baseball signed by Falk on the south panel with a stunning and detailed inscription spanning the panels above: "I replaced Shoeless Joe Jackson in left field for the White Sox when Judge Landis kicked him out of baseball for his involvmenet on the Black Sox in the 1919 World Series". In fine condition with even toning. A rare autograph and inscription hearkening back to one of the most infamoust incidents in baseball history. Accompanied by a COA from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
