In October of 1993, Michael Jordan stunned the basketball world, retiring from the NBA at the age of 30, after nine seasons, and three NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls. Jordan would be quite emotional at the time of his departure citing the reason for his attempt at hardball due to the passing of his father, as that was his original dream for Michael. He would only spend one year away, taking a crack at minor league baseball with the Chicago White Sox organization, before returning to the Bulls in March of 1995. Upon his return, Jordan chose to forego his already-retired No. 23 in favor of No. 45, the jersey number he wore in high school. Although he didn't retain the number for long, anything 45 related is extremely scarce & desirable for Jordan collectors, including our next offering. These Champion white with black & red trim Chicago Bulls warm up pants were game/pre-game worn by Michael Jordan during the 1994-95 NBA season. The inner waistband contains a Chicago Bulls exclusivity tag, next to a size 38 tag with +2 rise. Jordan’s #45 is handwritten in black marker on the size tag. Overall the shorts show moderate wear & remain in fine overall condition. Authenticated by Michael Jordan expert Alan Meza with a full letter of authenticity.
