Elvis first performed in Las Vegas in 1956 when he was just 21 years old. He was booked in the Venus Room at the New Frontier Hotel. While he was already becoming quite popular with teens around the country, Elvis was not the typical Las Vegas Strip entertainer of the time and his shows were met with a cool reception. It wasn't until The International hotel opened in 1969 that Elvis truly became synonymous with Las Vegas. While Barbra Streisand opened the showroom at the International, Elvis would make it world famous. It is now nearly impossible to go to Las Vegas without seeing or hearing allusions to The King. Offered here is a 4.25" x 5.5" magazine photograph featuring Elvis during one of his visits to the Hotel Sahara in Vegas, which has been signed in near-mint blue ballpoint pen. In very good condition. Authenticated & encapsulated by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
