After a quick taste of Major League action at the end of the 2011 season, Trout started out the 2012 season playing with the Salt Lake Bees of the PCL. Serving as the final proving ground that he was ready for the big leagues, Trout posted an impressive .403 average over 20 games before being promoted to the Angels major league roster for the final time. And the rest, as they say, is history! Despite spending the first month of the season with Salt Lake, Trout would go on to win AL Rookie of the Year honors and start what is quickly becoming a Hall of Fame caliber career.
