On July 20, 1969, the Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union would reach its peak when Neil Armstrong and the crew of Apollo 11 would land on the moon, becoming the first humans to do so. As previously this had been thought to be outside the realm of possibility by most of the world, this step in history changed many people's concept of what was possible to achieve. The story of Apollo 11 is told in this July 21, 1969 issue of Newsweek Magazine, released just a day after the historic moon landing, which has been signed by Neil Armstrong on the cover, which features his NASA portrait photograph. The blue felt tip autograph displays beautifully and stands out boldly, with the inscription, "Best Wishes to Roger Stavis - Neil Armstrong". The magazine shows some handling wear, most notably some creasing to the cover. A unique Apollo 11 collectible can be had here, as this is the first of its kind we have seen signed. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
