"Prince R. Nelson" promotes two Paisley Park executives
Typed letter signed “Prince R. Nelson,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Paisley Park Enterprises letterhead, December 18, 1990. Memo addressed to Mo Ostin (then-CEO of Warner Bros. Records), Lenny Waronker (then-president of WB Records), and others, concerning a change in management at Paisley Park. In part: "In an effort to streamline Paisley Park as well as remove myself from the day-to-day administration of the business, I have appointed Gilbert Davison and Jill Willis president and vice-president respectively. Effective immediately, Davison and Willis will share all responsibilities in overseeing all aspects of Paisley Park Enterprises and its subdivisions, i.e., Records, Studios, Vision, etc., in an administrative and management capacity." In fine condition. A desirable piece, nicely signed in purple ballpoint by Prince using his legal name. In fine condition. The letter includes a Love Symbol sticker acquired by Paisley Park production assistant Andrew Eastvold. It is important to note that Prince almost never signed his full name, & most often simply signed with a "P", so this full Prince R. Nelson signature is the impossible unicorn for Prince collectors. The items are encapsulated and come with multiple letters of authenticity, including PSA. Fully Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
