Filled out in another hand and boldly signed in green felt tip by “John Lennon”, and in blue ballpoint by, “Paul McCartney”. Considering the sum along with the dating, on the first of the month, one could infer that this check was written to McCartney for his royalties & participation in The Beatles catalog during that month/quarter. An extremely scarce “lost weekend” signature by John coupled with the possible historical significance of this check makes this a fantastic post-breakup example of a rare dual signed check regarding one of the last business ventures by arguable one of the best songwriting duos of all time.
