The 1939 Boston Red Sox featured four future Hall of Famers in the starting squad, including a rookie Ted Williams, who, by the end of the season, led the Majors in RBIs. Not too bad of a start for the legend! Unfortunately, the team succumbed to the Yankees, who won their fourth consecutive World Series, at the end of that season. This team-signed Official American League (Harridge) baseball has 27 signatures representing the rookie season of Ted Williams. In addition to Teddy Ballgame, other signers include Jimmie Foxx on the sweet spot, Lefty Grove and Bob Doerr (two future HOFers), Gene Desautels, Bill Lefebvre, Joe Heving, Elden Auker, Doc Cramer, Tom Daly, Fritz Ostermueler, Emerson Dickman, Hugh Duffy, Johnny Peacock, Tom Carey, Denny Galehouse, Mo Berger, Red Nonnenkamp, Jim Tabor, Charlie Wagner, Jack Wilson, Joe Cronin, and more! In fine condition with expected wear due to age, but the signatures remain in overall fine condition. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
