The only true rookie card of baseball's African American barrier-breaker, offered here is a 1948 Leaf Jackie Robinson card featuring a grinning depiction of the Dodgers' heroic 2nd baseman. You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn't know the story of Robinson, who made an everlasting imprint on not only the game - paving the way for the likes of Hank Aaron, Ken Griffey Jr., and Tony Gwynn - but on society and racial equality as a whole.
