The Helmet Worn by Johnny U for His Last "W" with Amazing Photomatch Proof!

Johnny Unitas' final victory as starting quarterback in the NFL occurred as a San Diego Charger in week two of the 1973 season when he competed ten of eighteen passes for two touchdowns, with no interceptions and 175 yards passing in a 34-7 rout of the Buffalo Bills at San Diego Stadium. Resolution Photomatching has photomatched the exemplar offered here to that historic contest.

The showcased Riddell TK-2 model suspension helmet presents in completely original condition with gold/blue lightning bolts and "19" digit decals affixed to either side of the Kra-Lite-8 shell and a Riddell BD-9 two-bar face mask. The interior of the helmet displays a fully intact twelve-point suspension apparatus (with crown donut, peg package to support suspension, and size "7 1/2" stamped in black), leather headband with sweat stains, and leather jaw pads. The inner shell features a "11 70 L CPC" stamp, which indicates factory manufacture date of 1970, and two Riddell stickers, one of which reads "TK-2 C72," which indicates that the helmet was reconditioned in 1972. Furthermore, the helmet is autographed and inscribed "Johnny Unitas, It's a gamer" in vintage black sharpie.

Johnny U's football resume is breathtaking and includes ten Pro-Bowl selections, three NFL MVP awards, three NFL titles, a Super Bowl championship, and berths on both the NFL 75th and 100th anniversary teams. Accompanied by full Letters of Authenticity from PSA/DNA for the autograph and a Letter of Authentication/Photomatching from Resolution Photomatching.
