Offered is a New York Yankees Spring Training payroll check, dated March 6, 1973, made out to team Thurman Munson and endorsed by “The Captain” himself on the reverse. The check has been made out in the amount of $259.08 and has been impeccably signed "Thurman Munson" in black fiber tip marker on the reverse with a signature that easily rates a "9-10" for overall strength. Thurman Munson signed items are scarce and in high demand today, due in large part to his untimely death in 1979. Official New York Yankees documents signed by Munson are amongst the most collectible of his autographed memorabilia.
