Incredible Super Bowl Game Worn Photo-Matched Helmet - Signed by the Entire Patriots Championship Team! The 2001 New England Patriots started the season 0-2, and it looked as though they were headed for another a losing season. Then quarterback Drew Bledsoe was injured during the second game against the New York Jets which led to 6th round draft pick and unknown Tom Brady to step and replace Bledsoe. The rest is history. Brady guided the team to an 11-3 record the rest of the way and led them to an upset victory over the “Greatest Show On Turf” St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI for the Patriots first ever Super Bowl Championship. Defense was also the key in the Patriots Super Bowl victory as they held St. Louis to 17 points, one of their lowest outputs of the season as defensive tackle Bobby Hamilton recorded a sack and was credited with three combined tackles in the Patriots victory.
Offered here is the very helmet worn by Hamilton during Super Bowl XXXVI. This silver full-sized helmet was manufactured by Riddell and has a red faceguard with five horizontal bars, along with a Plexi glass eye shield from the top of the crown to the middle of the facemask bars. The Patriots logo is affixed to each side of the helmet and a Riddell sticker is on the middle pad that connects the facemask to the crown. The back of the helmet has Hamilton’s number “91” affixed in dark blue with the numbers on each side of the raised silver panel that bisects the crown. “PATRIOTS” is in blue on a sticker that is on the lower crown pad on the back base. The interior has all of the white foam padding and the chinstrap is still attached. An NFL logo decal is to the left of the “9” and an American Flag decal is affixed to the right of the “1”. The helmet displays excellent game use and has been signed by 30 members of the Super Bowl XXXVI winning Patriots team. All of the signatures have been penned in black marker and include Tom Brady, Adam Vinatieri, Tedy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel, Ted Johnson, Richard Seymour, Troy Brown, Patrick Pass, David Patten, Joe Andruzzi, Larry Izzo, Jermaine Wiggins, Marc Edwards, Mike Compton, Grant Williams, Matt Chatham, Lonie Paxton, Curtis Jackson, Tebucky Jones, Je’Rod Cherry, Bert Emanuel, Antwan Harris, Kole Ayi and others.
