Well-done display featuring a swatch of white fabric, measuring .5” x .25,” from a section of red and white fabric removed from a large American flag that hung on Lincoln’s funeral train for the duration of its stop in Indiana while on the way to Lincoln’s burial place in Springfield, Illinois in 1865. Nicely presented and affixed to an 8.5" x 11" quality cardstock display sheet featuring an image of Lincoln, and one of Lincoln’s burial train. In fine condition. Certified as authentic at the bottom of the display by University Archives’ John Reznikoff. Accompanied by three printout pages of images of the flag and a copy of the COA noting how the original owner removed the remnant from the flag.
