A notable check paid by arguably the greatest baseball player of all time "G.H. Ruth"!Presented here is a signed bank check, 8.5" x 3.25", drawn on Ruth's personal bank account and made payable to Acker Merrill & Condit Co. for the modest sum of $29.38. The check is beautifully penned entirely in The Bambino's hand in a rich blue fountain pen ink and is handsomely signed, "G.H. Ruth," along the endorsement line. Aside from a missing top right corner and a light smudge in the Payee's name the check stands in overall fine condition and presents a fine example of Ruth's coveted penmanship. Attractively double matted along with an 11" x 14" black and white portrait and housed in a tasteful, executive-style black frame display. Accompanied by a COA from PSA/DNA.
