A signed personal bank check from "The Bambino", 8.25" x 3", filled out and signed by Ruth, “G. H. Ruth,” payable to Melvyn Lowell for $150.00, September 6, 1946. Check exhibits two small areas of paper loss along the top edge and ink is moderately faded, with Ruth's signature rating a "3-4" overall. A nice opportunity for the collector who wants a Ruth check but doesn't necessarily have the means to pay the $4k-$6k others typically command in the marketplace.
