A terrific document that showcases the extensive association between Babe Ruth and the Yankee organization, offered is a one page (8.5" x 13") loan agreement, December 8, 1945 issued to then Yankee Chairman of the Board Ed Barrow (the Yankees were sold in January of 1945 and Barrow was promptly reassigned from General Manager to Chairman of the Board) in the amount of $10,000. Backing the loan is a $25,000 note secured by newly cristened Yankee owners Larry MacPhail and Del Webb along with Barrow's long time friend Babe Ruth, who affirms his association to the document by adding a rare and highly desirable "George Herman Ruth," autograph in a rich blue steel tip fountain pen. The document is also signed by Barrow in steel tip pen at the bottom "Edward G. Barrow." A document with tremendous association between two eras of Yankee Dynasty history. While the Babe's penmanship is coveted in any form, documents bearing his full and complete legal signature are of the utmost rarity! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
Babe Ruth & Ed Barrow Highly Collectible Signed Loan Document with Ultra Rare "George Herman Ruth" Full Name Autograph! (JSA)
