Desirable original publishing agreement between Maclen Music & Northern Songs for the rights to publish “Why Don’t We Do It in the Road” onto the historic “White Album.” The document, dated October 15, 1968, measures 13” x 8” and consists of one page, front & back, and is boldly signed in black felt tip marker by John Lennon and in black ballpoint pen by Neil Aspinall. In fine condition. The autographs on this document have been perfectly executed, leading them to be graded a perfect GEM MINT 10 by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS). Impressive! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity & Grading from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).

In Beatles history, few things are as important as when The Beatles picked up and left for India under the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. During that trip to India, the boys opened up spiritually and musically, flowing with ideas and songs that would mostly make their way onto the historic White Album. "Why Don’t We Do It in the Road,” a bluesy track, was one of the songs to come out of that retreat. Beatles publishing agreements such as this typically don’t surface, especially for key songs such as any tune from The White Album, making this a true centerpiece-worthy offering.
