Derived originally from the estate of Jones' personal secretary Jean Marshall, offered here is a three page handwritten letter on legal sized (8.5" x 13") lined paper, drawing the guidelines for Ms. Marshall's employment. Even in this legal format, Jones' grace and fine character shines through, as he goes out of his way to compliment Ms. Marshall's past service while he delineates the terms for the future. We can see the early effects of Jones' degenerative disease in the somewhat shaky handwriting, but all ink remains as bold as the date of application, including the closing "Robert T. Jones, Jr." signature. The pages exhibit original storage folds and are held together by a staple at upper left, otherwise no problems of note. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
