David Ortiz game used bats, like the man himself, have become a collector favorite over the years. As "Big Papi" rose to stardom as a member of the Boston Red Sox, his bats became a hot commodity after years of putting up monster power numbers. Ortiz may go down in history as the greatest Designated Hitter of all time, giving him the chance to possibly become the first DH to enter the Hall of Fame. Once he became a member of the 500 Home Run Club in 2015, the gregarious slugger became a necessary component to any collection founded on the exclusive group. Sprinkle in the fact that Ortiz helped break the "Curse of the Bambino" by helping bring three World Series titles to Boston, and one could say that his gamers have a lot going for them. Offered here is a Nokona NK-243 David Ortiz model bat used by Big Papi during the 2007 World Series-winning season. The bat remains un-cracked and is absolutely hammered with use, with checking from repeated ball contact scattered across the barrel. The gold markings indicate that this may have been used during the World Series itself! The bat has been given the grade of GU 10 and is accompanied by a Letter of Grading and Authenticity from John Taube at PSA/DNA. A true investment-grade relic!
