Hampered during his career by bouts of alcoholism and epilepsy, Hall of Fame hurler Grover Cleveland Alexander often showed the symptoms and effects of both — and was usually left alone in his despair, as few could determine exactly which ailment was taking control. Perhaps a product of these woes, Alexander kept conversation and personal interaction to a minimum. Despite his ailments, one thing was for certain: the man could pitch! Offered here is an attractive choice fountain pen autograph from the baseball legend that reads, “G.C. Alexander, St Paul." The signature is penned within a 1.5” x 3.5” album page. Alexander, a member of the inaugural Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 1939, remains one of the rarest autographs of any Hall of Famer. Authenticated & encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
