There's not much to say about Derek Jeter that hasn't been said during his illustrious retirement campaign this year, receiving near-royal treatment by every Major League club he visits, even the Red Sox. Coming into the Majors in 1995 as a top prospect, the Yankees saw greatness right away fresh off the heels of Don Mattingly's decorated career, & decided to go all-in during the 1996 off-season. Jeter would live up to the hype & then some, becoming possibly the greatest shortstop of all-time. A class act every time he hits the field, Jeter would break an incredible Yankee record that stood for over seventy years, the Yankees all-time hit leader surpassing the Iron Horse, Lou Gehrig. This particular ball was used during that historic game & signed just minutes after the game concluded on that rainy September 11th, 2009 night. Signed & inscribed by Jeter, adding the hit number & the date of his historic accomplishment, as this ball was gifted to Jeter's former coach & friend Billy Connors, showing great signs of game use from that game as the ball is covered in clay from the old Yankee stadium. A true centerpiece for any Jeter collector & baseball historian! Authenticated by PSA/DNA with a full letter of authenticity.

Iconic Derek Jeter Signed & Inscribed Game-Used Baseball from Hit #2722 Game To Pass Lou Gehrig As Yankees All-Time Hit Leader! (PSA/DNA & Coaches Letter)
