“Jimi saw my Hollies ‘Evolution’ cover and wanted something similarly psychedelic on his debut US cover, as he was unhappy with his boring UK cover. I thought that Jimi’s music sounded so ‘Far Out,’ like from outer space. This gave me the idea of the group traveling through space in a Bubble to bring their Space Music to Earth. So I decided to use my Fisheye lens to create this spherical image and my special Colour Infrared film technique.”
