A unique document from the flagship signer of the Declaration of Independence, this ledger sheet, which measures 12" x 12" was filled out entirely by a then 18-year-old Hancock in 1755 while working for his uncle's export company. A Casks Wine Rum Ledger, this document details a transaction between Hancock and another gentleman. It is entirely filled out by Hancock, and has been signed TWICE--once at the top and then again at the conclusion. It is interesting to note that this document was accomplished years before Hancock had perfected his unique and flamboyant autograph that is prominently seen on the Declaration of Independence and in turn showcases a much tamer scripting from the legendary patriot. The document exhibits moderate chipping along the edges and moderate separation along the fold lines, however the ink on the paper remains strong and the document stands in overall very good condition. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
