In Beatles history, few things are as important as when The Beatles picked up & left for India under the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. During that trip to India, the boys opened up spiritually & musically, flowing with ideas & songs that would mostly make their way onto the historic White Album. The final song written in India doesn't come without its controversy, as Lennon’s creation of “Sexy Sadie” was written by John after a falling out with Maharishi. While the original title was “Maharishi,” George Harrison would demand Lennon change the title out of respect for the India Guru. Offered here is the original publishing agreement between Maclen Music & Northern Songs for the rights to publish “Sexy Sadie” onto the historic White Album! 13” x 8” one page, front & back, signed boldly by John Lennon in black felt tip marker & Neil Aspinall in ball point. Beatles publishing agreements such as this typically don’t surface, especially for key songs such as any tune from The White Album, making this a true centerpiece worthy offering.
