Beginning in 1979, when 20-year-old rookie Magic Johnson was drafted to the team, was an era when the Lakers played an exciting "run-and-gun" style of basketball. Led by Johnson's (often "no-look") passing and Kareem Abdul Jabbar's scoring, the team won five NBA championships. Owner Jerry Buss wanted the games to be entertaining, so demanded that the team play in an up-tempo style, as well as hiring dancers and a live band for their home games at The Forum. Offered here is an excellent 11"x14" photo of five members of the circa mid-1980s Showtime Lakers sitting on the sidelines. Signed beautifully by all five players pictured: Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, James Worthy, Byron Scott, and Mychal Thompson. Each player signed in blue felt tip marker. Accompanied by COA from PSA/DNA.
