Thomas Alva Edison was an American inventor and businessman. He developed many devices that greatly influenced life around the world, including the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and a long-lasting, practical electric light bulb. Dubbed "The Wizard of Menlo Park", he was one of the first inventors to apply the principles of mass production and large-scale teamwork to the process of invention, and because of that, he is often credited with the creation of the first industrial research laboratory. This stunning over-sized 11" x 14" portrait of Edison has been nicely signed in the lower right hand corner in black ink using his classic "umbrella" signature and his seldom seen full name (vs. the more commonly seen "Thos.") "Thomas A. Edison." In good condition with minor handling wear and some light silvering, photographs of this size are very rare and desirable! This item has been reviewed by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) and is guaranteed to pass their authentication. Full certification for this item can be acquired for an additional fee.
