Willie Stargell suited up as #8 for 21 seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates, leading the franchise to 2 World Series title. A 7x All-Star as well as 1979 NL MVP, Stargell collected 2,232 hits to go with 475 homers during his career. Game used bats from Stargell are amongst the most affordable, and perhaps most underrated, Hall of Famer bats from the era in which this powerful slugger played. There is no question that narrowly missing entry into the 500 Home Run Club suppresses the value of his gamers, but 500 home runs or not, Stargell was undoubtedly one of the most formidable hitters of his generation. Offered out is an H&B Louisville Slugger K55 Willie Stargell model baseball bat, weighing in at 35.3 ounces and measuring 35 inches, ordered and used by Stargell during the 1982 season - his final in the major leagues. The bat shows light use and has a cracked handle. The timing of the bat order only allows for use in 5 games as a player, making it likely that this bat was used in his very final games! A nice gamer from "Pops", who was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
